The blackSTC-2 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone with All-in-One Recording Package from Sontronics is a comprehensive mic setup designed to provide musicians, producers, and engineers with quality vocal recording capabilities without breaking the bank. At the center of the kit is the British-designed STC-2 microphone, featuring a large-diaphragm condenser capsule that's ready to capture a wide range of vocal and instrumental performances. The mic offers a cardioid polar pattern that helps reduce background sound and focuses pick up on the talent in front of the the capsule. The mic also features a 75 Hz high-pass filter that can be engaged to reduce unwanted low end, while the -10 dB pad can be engaged to record louder sources.

Also provided is a shockmount to isolate the microphone from vibrations and reduce low-frequency hum and handling noise for cleaner, more professional recordings. In addition, the included pop filter reduces breaths and plosives in words with prevalent "P" and "B" sounds for clearer sounding vocals with less distracting noise to worry about in the mix. The included XLR cable lets you connect the mic to preamps and recording equipment, and a pouch is provided for storage and travel.
